As the brouhaha that following the misunderstanding between two All Progressives Congress (APC) senators – Dino Melaye and Remi Tinubu continues. The Commonwealth Liberation Party in the United Kingdom has urged the Inspector General of Police Office not to intervene in the matter of the Senate unless invited by the Senate President or his Deputy as they are Capable of managing their own affairs.
In a letter authored by Professor Alexia Thomas the UK party noted that “even when they fight in the House, they have amongst themselves Counsels to redress issues and Penalise within the Rules if violated by Persons’ of the House”.
The Commonwealth Liberation Party deplored Senator Remi Tinubu actions to verbally Assault Senator Dino Melaye, insisting that the action “itself constitutes an indictable Criminal Offence of Assault and Harassment hinged on Black Mail and Deformation of character and Mr. Melaye is within his Legal Remit to seek Justice for Claims of Compensation for damages caused on his Reputation.
“The Commonwealth Liberation Party in the United Kingdom, we have arrived at a justification that Remi Tinubu’s election into the Senate is by Rogue Politics, so I will send a Letter to the Senate President to suspend her from the Senate as she is out to disrupt the functions of the Senate.
“My Government will not watch Remi Tinubu insult Men of Honours, so I will send a letter to the Senate President requesting she be SUSPENDED from the Senate and in other not to deny her Constituency the vote of financial appropriation, her successor can be elected to take her place.
“If Men of Men in the Senate cannot control Mrs. Remi Tinubu, then the Nigerian People will suffer greatly, as the Insanity of this Woman must be curtailed, so is not clear if she actually is informed of her Role as a Senator,” the letter added.
